Your Wellness Guide for 2024

If there was ever a year to find your super hero powers, 2024 is it.

These are new and fascinating times, we can take advantage of new technology and new energy of the here and now, to harness ourselves into total wellness – on a whole new level.

Take a Deep Dive into Self Care

This is the year to really do you. Every year we mean to take more time for ourselves, to pamper ourselves in some way, to get out for more walks and fresh air, to be more active, be on our yoga mat more. We get busy. We get tired. We push on.

Meeting goals can feel great, and so can rest and alone time. When we are busy and productive it’s enjoyable as long as we have the balance of rest, relaxation and recreation. American lives aren’t cut out for a lot of free time to enjoy those three R’s.

So how can 2024 be different?

A shift in mindset can set you free. It’s easier to do this in the present day because things are changing so rapidly, and the world at present seems really unstable and chaotic. There is a way to take advantage of this era of uncertainty. Embrace it.

Mostly, we fear the unknown. This is a time to embrace it. To think about and formulate a vision that comes from a place of overcoming any limitations that have been placed on you by others or by yourself. You are more powerful than you know. If you can embrace and harness your own energy and empowerment, you can bypass your own expectations.

Start by tuning into where you may have been blocked and clearing that out so that you can decide where you really want to go next in life, how you want to live. You can accept whatever may come, knowing that change is ok if that’s how it seems to work best for you at the time. Trusting yourself that you will know what to do when the time is right.

The way to get there is to get into self. It can be fun. Sometimes it can be emotionally disturbing, like when doing shadow work and facing your own dark side. Yet, the treasure in it is getting to do that work alone, without being judged, and doing it for you. Having time to yourself, alone time, quiet time, will result in a process of turning inward.

When we make turning inward a habit, and finding that strong and calm core within, we become more still and more clear in our mind and emotional body. Getting to know oneself is a beautiful experience. It can open a whole new whole. A person can live more genuinely, even if nothing about the person’s life changes, just by a shift in mindset.

A huge part of being well means time for yourself.

Stay Aware & Mindful in All Actions & Reactions

Having resolutions or goals is an exciting part of having a vision for a new year. Meeting goals takes some dedication. We are always going to feel better if we can achieve what we set out to do. It’s important to feel good about doing a good job and give ourselves positive affirmations as we continue to make progress. Yet, life happens, and we know we are going to face challenges.

How we handle ourselves during times of stress makes all the difference as to whether or not we get stopped in our tracks and go dark and give up, or we understand that unexpected events do happen in life and we find a way to work around obstacles and grow from the experience. Do we melt down or do we rise to the occasion to go with the flow of the situation?

As the years go by, it seems like there’s unexpected events coming from all directions. It’s unlikely that 2024 would be any different. Being aware of what is happening around you is going to be to your advantage. There could be opportunities that arise from instability. Be aware and mindful of your surroundings and what is needed.

Stay Alert! One example would be a person who has been wanting to change jobs, or careers, for a while, but fear of the unknown and lack of the right opportunities has always prevented change. There’s also an issue of what a person really loves to do, like play an instrument, does not bring a steady income. So it seems difficult to dream something wild up into action like becoming a well paid professional musician as your main job. Yet, in a changing world, where people are tired of the old systems, things like sound baths and sound therapy are becoming popular. As our culture shifts, and our thinking shifts, there will be openings we haven’t seen before.

It’s also imperative to be self aware during the journey. Any goal we have and meet, we still move on to the next idea or the next goal for personal growth. On the journey of life, there’s no end point we are trying to arrive at. We are spending every moment experiencing life in a seemingly physical form and reality, and that’s all we are doing. The decisions we make in our moments lead to results. We can’t have the moments back once they’re spent, so we will want to be mindful and measured with decision making.

Being self aware includes watching and being able to control your reactions. Reactions that come straight from emotions or old negative thought patterns often lead to bad decisions to say or do something you can later regret, or perhaps not realizing something you said led to a bad outcome in your life. When we are aware of our reactions, and we control our ego and its reaction to a situation involving others, we can be in the driver’s seat of our own life by consciously creating better outcomes.

Spend Your Time Wisely, Always

Sometimes zoning out, doing nothing, or taking a nap is the wisest way to spend your time. So don’t worry about the judgements from self or others about how you can best use your time in all moments of life. There are times when we really do need to shut off and get rest.

First, know that the choices about how to wisely use the moments in your life change change from day to day. When you’re ill you may have to force yourself to rest, when you’re well but emotionally drained, you may have to force yourself to work or complete an important task. The priorities will change, so this is a flexible ideal.

The important part here is to avoid wasting time. There are many ways that we waste time in our culture and largely, people don’t see it as a “waste of time”. One example would be researching conspiracy theories on the internet all day long and posting them on social media to convince people to join you in the rabbit hole. We all know someone like this, and if you’re reading this article you’re not going to fit that particular example. Yet, spending too much time in front of a screen, especially on social media, is not going to produce all around wellness.

Be aware that the moments of your life are passing by. As we get older, time seems to go by faster. One of the biggest regrets of people who are dying is that they did not live the way they wanted to, they lived how others thought they should. There can be so many experiences that weren’t had because of worry, insecurity and lack of trust in oneself. Trust yourself. You know what you need in life to feel well.

Here are a few suggestions for wisely spending time for your wellness. Getting outside for fresh air and sunlight is important. Staying hydrated is important. Walking is very helpful. Yoga/stretching, meditation and sound healing are very helpful. Writing or having a hobby as a release is helpful. Having good friends who are emotionally mature is very important. Enjoying what you do for a living is extremely helpful. Reaching out to healers and helpers when you need to heal or come into balance is extremely helpful. Knowing when to rest is extremely important.

Be Around People Who See Your Light & Share Your Vibration

Being around the right people is one of the most important aspects of living life to the fullest and having the best possible experience while on planet Earth. Others are what make this journey so powerful. Our relationships and interactions, the connection we all have to one another, how we influence each other, how we fall in love with one another – that is the very stuff of life. There are so many people on this planet, we have endless possibilities for who we may meet and connect with.

Connecting with people who enhance your self growth and encourage your success is the best way to attain a high quality of life. Being overworked and too tired to play is one of the most depressing ways to spend the moments of your life. Know that your happiness and your time to experience all of the wonder of the world are more valuable than money. A new mindset will help us all shift away from the rat race and come into a time where we balance our priorities as a culture.

This can mean spending less time with loved ones who are on another path, a path which is possibly slower than yours, and on a much different vibrational frequency. Everything is frequency, thoughts are frequency, colors and shapes are frequency, our bodies are frequency. So when we are around people who are always depressed, or who always seem to be involved in drama, that lower frequency vibration will permeate us by-proxy.

If you’re an empath you know exactly what I am describing. We pick up on other people’s vibes. We are influenced by who we spend our time with. If you’ve ever been stuck in an office with a negative, depressed person for the full work week, it’s eventually going to get to you. You will find yourself complaining to your friends or partner about it. This is one example. Spending time wisely means being picky about where you put yourself.

Be Willing to Take Healthy Risks to Enjoy Life

If you’ve always wanted to take that trip to France, find a way to do it. You might be one of those people who hates to call off work and finds it hard to take vacations. Maybe you have pets that you don’t want to leave behind for more than a week. Maybe it seems like you never have the money. Yet, you only live once.

Making your own dreams come true becomes easier and easier every time you do it. At first, we can be afraid to speak something out into the air because we fear it won’t happen and we will end up disappointing ourselves and others may think we are ever the pipe dreamer. Yet, as we realize we’re not going to suddenly lose everything we’ve ever worked for if we take concrete steps to actualize our intentions, we come to know we are very capable of manifesting our visions.

It’s very important to identify unhealthy risks as well. We do have to plan well to bring our dreams to reality, and that is totally possible. Unhealthy risks usually happen when a plan is not well thought out and a person makes a drastic change by impulse, like quitting a job without having a new job or career in place, and hoping for the best.

With the right mindset and good planning, as well as patience, you’ll reach for and attain experiences that will surprise you with how big they are.

Be Accountable Along the Way

We’re going to reach goals and surpass goals in 2024 but we will also make some mistakes and missteps. This is because we are all human, so we know there’s almost no chance that our entire year will be perfect and we will make only the best choices for the best outcomes. There will be challenges and maybe times we don’t react well or handle ourselves well in situations that come up as we go about daily life.

It’s actually helpful to be accountable for our mistakes, or for our misinterpretations, misunderstandings or insensitivities. It’s helpful to us, to others and to the collective.

Why?

Because we’re going to inspire others around us to succeed by setting the wonderful example of being real, being open, and being fully seen in our true light. This allows others to be themselves and to see that it’s ok and encouraged to be open and accepting that we all make mistakes. People appreciate that connection, the ability to relate, much more than a perfectionist who thinks they know everything and can never be wrong.

We can reach goals and make dreams come true more easily when we are true. It’s hard to bring things into action when we’re stuck in the muck of wanting to appear as perfect and trying to avoid any sign of rejection or any appearance of failure. Fears like these hold us back. Judgements of others hold us back.

Enjoy the Pure Awe of Life

There are so many beautiful things about this planet and the living beings that reside here. There is so much beauty in nature to appreciate. There is so much beauty in the creations of others, like artists and architects, for people to admire. We have beautiful frequencies of sound, light, color, vast seas and endless skies with clouds, stars and other planets within our awareness.

When we are grateful for the experience of life, the mysticism of all of these systems working harmoniously to create a world of so many different life forms coexisting together, we gain a sense of peace and light. Noticing the little things can help bring us into the present moments so that we’re not spinning our wheels about the past or the future. To really live well, we have to experience what’s happening around us and within us in order to enjoy the moment.

When Feeling Down, Connect With & Help Someone Else

When you hit a road block or a bump in the road and you’re feeling down at any time in 2024, just remember one thing that can really get your energy flowing again and propel you into a higher frequency is random acts of kindness or helping someone in need. Reaching out to someone who you haven’t seen in a while to check in can bring a fresh perspective and the feeling of connectedness.

The feeling of connectedness is so important to all people whether we realize it or not. Reaching out and making someone’s day is infectious. It will make you feel better.
